Columbia, S.C. (November 26, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation plans to close the I-126 West off-ramp to Colonial Life Boulevard beginning December 1 at 6 a.m. The ramp will reopen at 10 p.m. on December 20. These dates may change depending on weather conditions. These closures will allow crews to complete construction activities related to the Carolina Crossroads Project.
As part of these closures, drivers will be detoured to Greystone Boulevard and directed to Broad River Road, then Bush River Road to access Colonial Life Boulevard. Message boards, lane closures, and detour signs will be placed along the route to guide motorists. Maps of the planned detour can be found below.
