SCDOT to conduct lane closures on I-95 South in Sumter County for repairs

Columbia, S.C. (October 6, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation is set to conduct lane closures on I-95 South near mile marker 146 in Sumter County to complete shoulder repairs on October 7 and October 8.

The left lane of I-95 South will be closed the morning of October 7 and will reopen by 5 p.m. the same day. The right lane of I-95 South will be closed the morning of October 8 and will reopen by 5 p.m. the same day.

SCDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes if possible and expect delays.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving through a work zone.
