Columbia, S.C. (September 10, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a temporary right lane closure on I-26 Eastbound near mile marker 7 in Spartanburg County beginning Thursday. This closure will allow crews to complete bridge deck repairs.
The closure is expected to last until Friday. Traffic will be maintained using the left lane of I-26 East. A map of the affected area can be found below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to plan their route ahead with the 511SC App or at 511sc.org. Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
