Columbia, S.C. (September 22, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour part of North Plantation Road over Bear Creek in Lancaster County as part of a bridge replacement project. The closure is expected to begin on October 1. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in Spring of 2026.
As part of this closure a detour route will be set up. A map of the closure and detour can be found below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down when driving near the work zone.
