Columbia, S.C. (April 28, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour part of Vaughn Road in Cherokee County beginning May 13. This closure will allow crews to complete work on the I-85 Widening Project. The closure is expected to last until the end of May.
As part of this closure, a detour route will be put in place using Allison Drive and Hampshire Drive. A map of the detour can be found below. Please note that Vaughn Road will be open to local traffic only. Drivers will be able to access Luther Vaughan Elementary School.
