SCDOT to close, detour parts of Clemson Road in Richland County for nighttime road work

Columbia, S.C. (June 19, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour parts of Clemson Road in Richland County for nighttime road work on June 19 and June 22. A schedule of the closures can be found below.

  • Clemson Road from Hardscrabble to Salusbury Lane will be closed on Thursday, June 19, at 9 p.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 20. Salusbury Lane will be accessible to traffic.
  • Clemson Road from Hardscrabble to Magnolia Pointe Shopping Center will be closed on Sunday, June 22, at 7 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, June 23, at 6 a.m. Magnolia Pointe will be accessible to traffic from Hardscrabble Road.

As part of these closures, a detour route will be set up. A map of the closures and detours can be found below.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
