SCDOT to close, detour parts of Clemson Road in Richland County for nighttime road work

Columbia, S.C. (July 25, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour parts of Clemson Road in Richland County for nighttime road work. A schedule of the closures can be found below.

  • Clemson Road from Hardscrabble to Salusbury Lane will be closed on Sunday, July 27, at 8 p.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 28. Salusbury Lane will be accessible to traffic.
  • Clemson Road from Hardscrabble to Magnolia Pointe Shopping Center will be closed on Monday, July 28, at 8 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday, July 29, at 6 a.m. Magnolia Pointe will be accessible to traffic from Hardscrabble Road.
 
  • Clemson Road from Hardscrabble to Salusbury Lane will be closed again on Tuesday, July 29, at 8 p.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30. Salusbury Lane will be accessible to traffic.

As part of these closures, a detour route will be set up. A map of the closures and detours can be found below.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
