SCDOT to begin repairs on Old Seneca Road bridge in Pickens County

UPDATE (February 26, 2026) - SCDOT began working to repair the bridge on Old Seneca Road over Six Mile Creek in 2025. While onsite, SCDOT determined that the bridge could not be restored to good condition through repair work and that the bridge would need to be replaced. SCDOT intends to add this project to an existing construction contract. SCDOT anticipates the bridge replacement project will complete and the road will reopen to traffic later this year.
