Columbia, S.C. (December 8, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will begin construction on the culvert replacement on Fountain Inn Road (SC 418) over Arnold Creek in Spartanburg County on December 15.
As part of this construction, Fountain Inn Road will be closed to traffic. A signed detour has been established to aid the traveling public around the closure.
Detour signs will be placed throughout the area to navigate drivers around the closures. A map of the affected area can be found below. Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes, if possible. Construction is expected to be complete in Fall of 2026.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving near the work zone.
