Columbia, S.C. (May 29, 2025) — The South Carolina Department of Transportation has temporarily closed the right two lanes of the I-77 Southbound bridge at Celanese and Cherry Road in York County for repairs. Crews are on scene and are expediting repairs. The road is expected to be reopened later tonight.

SCDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes and plan their route ahead using 511sc.org. SCDOT also asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
