SCDOT closes Pleasant Hill Road bridge over the Middle Tyger River in Greenville County

Columbia, S.C. (May 6, 2025) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed the Pleasant Hill Road bridge over the Middle Tyger River in Greenville County for repairs. The bridge was closed immediately following a crash.

At this time, SCDOT crews are assessing the damage and hope to have a timeline for repairs soon.

As part of this closure, a detour route has been set up. A map of the detour and directions can be found below. Please note that Pleasant Hill Road is open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site.
