SCDOT to close and detour Woodcrest Drive bridge in Richland County for bridge repairs

Columbia, S.C. (December 30, 2024)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour the Woodcrest Drive bridge in Richland County for repairs beginning January 6. The repairs are expected to last a month.

As part of these repairs, Woodcrest Drive will be closed to traffic and a signed detour route will be set up. The detour route will use Beaverbrook Road, Wakefield Road, Sharpe Road, Green Tree Drive and Old Oak Drive. A map of the closure can be found below.

SCDOT encourages drives to use caution in the area and pay attention to signs and crews.
