Columbia, S.C. (December 5, 2024)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close Windslow Avenue in Cherokee County as part of the I-85 Widening Project beginning December 9. The road is expected to reopen by January 9.
As part of this closure, a detour route has been set up utilizing Hyatt Street, Overbrook Drive and West Rutledge Avenue. Please note that Windslow Avenue will be open to local traffic only during the closure. A map of the detour can be found below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to crews when driving near the work zone.
