SCDOT to implement temporary lane closures on McIver Road in Darlington County

Columbia, S.C. (October 29, 2024)—The South Carolina Department of Transportation will implement temporary lane closures on McIver Road in Darlington County beginning November 4. This project includes reconstruction and resurfacing which will result in loose stone on the road. As a result, the speed limit in the work zone will be decreased to 25 mph.

The road work is expected to last until December.

SCDOT encourages the public to seek alternate routes and asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to crews and signs when driving through the area.

A map of the effected area is below.
