SCDOT to implement temporary nighttime road closure on Blossom Street for safety improvements project

Columbia, S.C. (July 22, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will implement temporary nighttime road closures on Blossom Street in Richland County beginning Sunday, July 28. These closures are part of the Devine/Blossom Safety Improvement Project and will allow crews to resurface the part of Blossom Street.

The closure will begin each night at 6 p.m. and will last until 7 a.m. the following day beginning at 6 p.m. on July 28 and ending August 1 at 7 a.m.

A map of the detour can be found below. SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near work zones.

Blossom Street closure is from Pickens Street to Saluda Ave.  Use Pickens to Wheat to Saluda Avenue.
