Columbia, S.C. (June 10, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the bridge on Valley Ridge Road at I-26 in Calhoun County beginning June 17 to replace the bridge. The replacement is part of the I-26 Widening Project.
The road will be closed for 14 months and is expected to be open by Fall of 2025.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured using US 21, US 176 and Old Sandy Run Road. A map of the detour can be found below. Please note that Valley Ridge Road Bridge will be open to local traffic only during the closure, except for the area of the bridge.
