The South Carolina Department of Transportation will hold a drop-in public involvement meeting on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, regarding a proposed corridor improvement project in Greenwood County.
The meeting will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Siloam Baptist Church located at 2409 Siloam Church Road, Greenwood, SC 29656. SCDOT representatives will be available at the meeting to discuss the proposed project with members of the community.
The proposed project includes improvements on the SC 246 corridor between US 221 and SC 702. Those proposed improvements include widening SC 246 between US 221 and the Emerald Road intersection from two lanes to five lanes and widening SC 246 from the Emerald Road intersection to SC 702 from two lanes to three lanes.
