SCDOT announces temporary lane closure on I-20 West in Kershaw County for road work

​Columbia, S.C. (April 11, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will reduce traffic to a single lane on I-20 westbound in Kershaw County beginning April 14 at 8 p.m. The lane closure will be from mile point 97 (near Exit 98) to mile point 95.5 (near the Wateree River). The lane closure is expected to last until April 18.

This road work is part of the I-20 over Wateree River Bridge Replacement and Swamp Overflow Bridge Rehabilitations Project.

SCDOT encourages drivers to plan your drive ahead of time using SCDOT's 511 app or by visiting www.511sc.org. Remember to slow down and pay attention to crews and signs when traveling through work zones.
