Columbia, S.C. (April 4, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close a portion of River Road in Charleston County on Saturday, April 6, so that crews can perform maintenance work. River Road (S-10-91) will be closed between Main Road (S-10-20) and Brownswood Road (S-10-1442). SCDOT expects to complete maintenance work over the weekend.
During the closure, drivers should take the signed detour route via Old Pond Road and Brownswood Road. SCDOT asks drivers to plan their routes in advance and to use caution when driving near work zones.
