SCDOT to hold a drop-in public involvement meeting in Greenville County

​Columbia, S.C. (March 29, 2024) - SCDOT will hold a drop-in public involvement meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 regarding a proposed bridge rehabilitation project in Greenville County.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The meeting will take place at St. George Greek Orthodox Church located at 406 N. Academy Street, Greenville, SC 29601. SCDOT representatives will be available at the meeting to discuss the proposed project with members of the community.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to rehabilitate the US 29 (Church Street) Bridge over East Broad Street (L-6073). The rehabilitation will include the replacement of damaged concrete, sidewalk replacement, bridge deck rehabilitation and concrete overlay to improve the condition of the driving surface. Lighting on the bridge is also outdated and nonfunctional and requires replacement. Visit the project website for additional information.
