The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public comment on the action to amend the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include the preliminary engineering, right of way, and construction phases of work for four bridge replacement projects in Fairfield, Greenville, and Pickens Counties. SCDOT will receive public comment for a 21-day period from March 21, 2024 through April 11 2024.
The proposed project in Fairfield County is the replacement of a 90-foot bridge on S-152 (Park Rd) over Sawney’s Creek. The project cost is $3,650,000.00. Another proposed project in Fairfield County is the replacement of a 90-foot bridge on S-214 (Two Creek Rd) over Big Creek. The project cost is $3,510,000.00. The proposed project in Greenville County is the replacement of the secondary bridge along S-40 (Pace Bridge Rd) over Saluda Overflow. The project cost is $3,490,203.39. The proposed project in Pickens County is the replacement of the secondary bridge along S-26 (Pace Bridge Rd) over Tributary to the Saluda River. The project cost is $3,295,347.07. The purpose of these projects is to address structural deficiencies to meet current standards.
