SCDOT to repair bridge on Fairfield Road (SC 215) over Sandy River in Chester County

Columbia, S.C. (January 8, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will begin repairs to the Fairfield Road (SC 215) bridge over the Sandy River in Chester County beginning on January 29. The construction is expected to last approximately 90 days.

The road will be closed at the bridge site and traffic will be detoured. The detour route will use West End Road (SC 72), JA Cochran Bypass (US 321), Columbia Road (US 321), Newberry Road (SC 34) and Fairfield Road (SC 215). A map of the detour can be found below.
