The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public comment on the action to amend the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include the proposed 2022 Road Safety Audit and Vulnerable User Safety Audit Project lists in Anderson, Charleston, Florence, Greenville, Horry and Richland Counties. The list of proposed projects is available here . SCDOT will receive public comment for a 21-day period from December 8, 2023 through December 29, 2023 .
The South Carolina Department of Transportation proposes these projects to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes along the identified corridors. These projects were selected and ranked as a part of the 2022 Road Safety Audit and Vulnerable User Safety Audit. The projects will be funded by the Highway Safety Improvement Plan.
