SCDOT is temporarily closing the US 221 bridge over the Enoree River near the Laurens and Spartanburg County line for emergency bridge deck repairs. The closure is expected to be in place through Wednesday, October 4, 2023 while crews work to make expedited repairs to the bridge surface.
A signed detour route is in place. SCDOT urges drivers to use caution in the area, pay attention to directional signs, and stay alert for crews working along the roadway in this area.
