(August 16, 2023) – SCDOT will install an all-way stop at the intersection of U.S. 176 and S-8-135 Mudville Road in Berkeley County. Effective August 23, vehicles approaching the intersection from all directions must come to a complete stop.
The all-way stop is a part of an overall safety improvement project at this intersection, which will convert this traditional intersection into a single-lane roundabout. SCDOT expects to complete the roundabout project in the summer of 2024.
SCDOT asks motorists to drive with caution as the public adjusts to the all-way stop.
