A section of Sliding Rock Road in Pickens County will be closed beginning Wednesday, June 7, 2023 for a crossline pipe replacement. The road is expected to reopen on Friday, June 9. A signed detour route will be in place (details and map below).
Detour Route for Traffic Northbound Sliding Rock Road (S-39-69): Continuing Southbound on SC 11: Turn Left Onto US 178. Follow US 178 one quarter mile and turn Left onto SC288 Table Rock Road. Follow Table Rock Road for about 2.5 miles and find Sliding Rock Road on the left immediately after bridge over Oolenoy River.
Detour Route for Traffic Southbound Sliding Rock Road (S-39-69):
Continue westbound on SC-288.
Turn right onto US 178 and continue one quarter mile toward SC 11. Take a right onto SC 11 and continue for about a mile. Turn right onto Sliding Rock Road.
