The bridge on Gold Hill Road (SC 460) over I-77 in York County is scheduled to be closed this weekend as work is done to the newly improved and modernized interchange. The bridge will be closed from midnight Friday, March 4, until 5 am Monday, March 7. The interstate ramps at Gold Hill Road will remain open.
The detour route will use Highway 21 Bypass N (US 21) and Highway 160 W (SC 160).
The design of the new diverging diamond interchange, which opened to traffic in the fall of 2021, reduces congestion and moves high volumes of traffic while increasing safety. The work this weekend includes installing pavement markings, new lights and new asphalt.
