The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will stop collecting tolls on Hilton Head Island's Cross Island Parkway at 11:59:59 p.m. on June 30, 2021.
As a Palmetto Pass account holder, you will need to return your transponder(s) and close your account by October 15, 2021. Unused pre-paid tolls and transponder deposits less any unpaid toll violations will be refunded. Should you fail to return the transponder by October 15, 2021, your account will be administratively closed and any transponder deposit will be forfeited. Unused pre-paid tolls will be refunded to you less any unpaid toll violations.

Refunds will be processed as follows:
If there is a current credit card associated with your Palmetto Pass account, your refund will be credited back to that credit card on file. If you are a cash or check customer, or the credit card on file has expired, you will be refunded by check .
Please expect final account closure and refunds to take 3 to 4 weeks for processing.
