The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces the left lane of I-20 Eastbound and Westbound between approximate mile marker 50 and 51 will be closed during daytime hours on Friday April 17th, 2020. The right lanes and all ramps in the area will still remain accessible.
The lane closures on I-20 Eastbound and Westbound will occur:

From 9:00 AM Friday, April 17th, 2020, until 4:00 PM Friday April 17th, 2020
Motorists are advised to used caution and plan accordingly in case of delays.
The road work is part of a four-phase project to widen an 11-mile stretch of I-20 in Lexington County. The project extends from mile marker 60 near US 378 to mile marker 49 at Longs Pond Road. Upon completion, the project will add a third inside lane in both directions aimed at reducing traffic congestion. It is expected to be completed in the summer of 2021
