The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will utilize temporary lane closures and pacing operations in the southbound lane on I-77 between mile marker 22 (Killian Road) and mile marker 18 in Richland County on Thursday night, February 27, 2020. The Interstate 77 Southbound on-ramp from Farrow Road (Exit 19) will also be closed. Please follow the posted detour routes during ramp closure. The purpose is to facilitate the construction of the new SC 277 Northbound Bridge over I-77.
Lane closures and the ramp closure will begin at approximately 9 p.m. Thursday and both will reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning. The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) will temporarily pace the Southbound I-77 traffic at a controlled, reduced speed through the work zone for a maximum of 20 minutes during the lane closures.
