The South Carolina Department of Transportation, along with Palmetto Corp. of Conway, is scheduled to begin the temporary road closure of the North leg of SC 327 (Francis Marion Rd.) on February 25, 2020.
SC 327 (Francis Marion Rd.) is scheduled to reopen April 4, 2020. This temporary closure is in preparation for Stage 4 construction of the SC 327/S-21-57 intersection improvement project.
Motorists should note the closure will begin at the S-21-57 (Claussen Rd.) intersection and extend north approximately 1000 feet. Message boards with road closure information will be placed on Old River Rd., Francis Marion Rd., and Claussen Rd.
A detour route has been established with signs to inform motorists of an alternate route. The detour consists of the following roads: SC 327 (Francis Marion Road), S-21-23 (E. National Cemetery Rd.), US 301 (Freedom Blvd.), SC 51 (Pamplico Hwy.), and S-21-57 (Claussen Rd.).
