The Ashley River National Scenic Byway is located on SC 61 in Charleston County. Beginning at the Church Creek Bridge, it runs northerly for eleven miles.
It features numerous historical and scenic sites, including St. Andrews Parish Church , Drayton Hall Plantation, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, Middleton Place Plantation, and Fort Dorchester State Park. Golf and equestrian facilities are also located on this oak canopied route that is adjacent to the Ashley River.
