The Division of Maintenance (DOM) is responsible for the development and implementation of policy for maintenance of roads and bridges. The Maintenance Office is responsible for the maintenance of all State-maintained roadways, SCDOT vehicles and equipment, maintenance facilities and the Statewide radio communications system. The primary function of the Maintenance Office is to maintain State roadways and bridges for the safety of the traveling public and to prevent roadways and bridges from wearing out prematurely. The DOM is responsible for distribution of the maintenance budget and establishment of Statewide business plan goals and objectives.
