One Time Pick-Up Program

South Carolina’s beautiful landscapes are one of our state’s greatest natural resources. Your participation in keeping the roadways cleaner will contribute to our commitment to enhance the beauty of South Carolina.

The One Time Pick-Up Program is available to citizens who want a short term commitment to the litter control efforts in the state. This program is an alternative to a long term commitment of two years. Once you have participated in the One Time Pick-Up Program, you may want to explore your options further. The Adopt-A-Highway County Coordinator will assist you with getting the process started. This person will work with you so that your One Time Pick-Up Program runs smoothly.

Follow the same process in signing up as regular Adopt-A-Highway participants do. Select a group leader and a section of highway not already in the Adopt-A-Highway Program, and submit an agreement form with signatures of all participants to SCDOT for approval two to three months prior to the scheduled cleanup date.
