SCDOT Renovates Hotel for Hospital Surge

SCDOT crews are working to ready the 121 room former Wood Spring Suites hotel at US 1 / I 20 interchange for potential use in the Governor’s Hospital Surge Plan. SCDOT recently purchased this property as part of a future highway improvement project and has delayed demolition of it in order to make it available to assist in the COVID-19 fight.

Keeping the Supply Chain Moving

Our priority is to keep supplies moving to support the COVID-19 Response. Rest Areas are open and cleaned frequently. SCDOT's SHEP service will continue to assist motorists who may be experiencing roadside issues.

We’re Still Helping

SCDOT’s Customer Service Call Center is still taking calls for the public to report road problems and ask questions. Motorists can call 855-GO-SCDOT (855-467-2368) toll free or 803-737-1200 Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
