SCDOT Requests Public Comment on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to Include the Construction Phase of Work on the I-26/I-95 Interchange Improvement Project
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) requests comments from the public on the addition of the construction phase of work for I-26/I-95 Interchange Improvement project in Orangeburg and Dorchester Counties. The SCDOT Commission approved an opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed interchange improvement project, during its December 8, 2022 meeting.
The public has the opportunity to comment on the action to amend the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to include the construction phase of work for the proposed project. SCDOT will receive public comment for a 21-day period from December 9, 2022 through December 29, 2022.

The proposed project includes improvements to the system-to-system interchange on I-26 at Exit 169 (I-95).
A summary of substantive comments will be available to the Commission. Pending no substantive comments, the projects will be added to a subsequent version of the STIP.
