In conjunction with the SCDOT efforts to identify any hurdles or impediments to the coordination of public transit/human service transportation services, the department entered into a contract with Clemson University to study such barriers.  The result was an exhaustive report entitled, Barriers and Catalysts for Statewide Coordination of Transportation Services.

Federal tax-free transit commuter benefits have increased to $115 per month beginning on January 1, 2008.  Access the link below for a brochure published by the American Public Transportation Association that provides information on how organizations and individuals can take advantage of the federal law that provides tax benefits for using public transportation and vanpool commuting.
