In conjunction with the SCDOT efforts to identify any hurdles or impediments to the coordination of public transit/human service transportation services, the department entered into a contract with Clemson University to study such barriers. The result was an exhaustive report entitled, Barriers and Catalysts for Statewide Coordination of Transportation Services.

Federal tax-free transit commuter benefits have increased to $115 per month beginning on January 1, 2008.
