South Carolina Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan

Statewide Transit and Coordination Plans

Public transit and human services transportation coordination are important component of South Carolina’s transportation network. Building effective public transportation systems will provide mobility to thousands of state residents and visitors, improve access to community facilities, and serve as a valuable tool in promoting and facilitating economic development. Public transit systems and human service agencies provide an alternative to single-occupant vehicle travel, provide access to essential services and foster independence for those who are unable to drive, and support more compact and efficient land development patterns.
