SCDOT Seeks Public Comment The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public comment for a proposed amendment to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) associated with increased cost estimates for the planned replacement of five bridges in Charleston, Colleton and Jasper counties. Due to significant ground improvements that are required to meet seismic performance requirements, an additional $8.8 million of construction funds will be needed for the bridge replacement project. The total project is identified in the STIP as "Design Build Package D" and includes replacement of the following bridges:
