The Edisto Island National Scenic Byway is located in Charleston County on SC 174 between the McKinley Washington Bridge at Dawhoo Creek and the Edisto Beach State Park. It is approximately fourteen miles long. It was designated as a national scenic byway in 2009.
The route includes historical, recreational, agricultural and scenic sites. The topography of the route is typical of the barrier islands that dot the South Carolina coast between Georgetown and Hilton Head Island.
Bohicket Road - Cowpens Battlefield - Edisto Beach - Falling Waters - Fort Johnson Road - Hilton Head - Hilton Head Island - Long Point Road - Mathis Ferry Road - May River - McTeer Bridge - Old Sheldon Church - Plantersville - Riverland Drive - SC 170 - US 21 - Western York
