SCDOT Microstation and Geopak Level Name Workspaces

SCDOT Electronic File Sharing Policy

The current Microstation V8 and GEOPAK 2004 workspace configuration and settings files for projects using Level Names is now available on the SCDOT Web Site in a self extracting exe file. This workspace is certified for use with both Microstation V8 and XM and utilizes a windows wizard to assist in the installation. It is suggested a person familiar with Microstation and Geopak installation and configurations assist in the initial deployment at your site.

SCDOT currently utilizes Microstation V8 (Ver. 08.05.02.55) and Geopak 2004 (Ver. 08.08.03.24). Next generation Microstation (V8i) testing is currently under development and we anticipate moving to this platform during the 2nd quarter of 2009. The SCDOT V8 Level Name support files and workspaces for SCDOT projects is supplied on this page and can be used to meet current SCDOT CADD standards. All new projects should utilize the Level Name workspaces and deliverables for current SCDOT projects can be made in either Microstation V8 or XM.

The SCDOT V8 CADD Engineering Workspace Standards do not exempt the professional from performing responsible engineering and/or surveying. It is intended to provide uniform procedures and standards for organizations that perform CADD related services for SCDOT. The professional shall have final responsibility for the accuracy of all input and output of computer-based applications. Microstation and Geopak are trademarks of Bentley Systems and are licensed by SCDOT for their usage.
