SCDOT is proud to be a partner in the continued success of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor, which is being developed by private citizens, government agencies, conservation groups, businesses and communities to promote economic development in rural areas of South Carolina through heritage tourism.
The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor extends 240 miles across South Carolina from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can enjoy many historic, cultural and natural destinations by traveling along either the Discovery Route or Nature Route through the 14 counties in this corridor.
