The SCDOT Bridge Design Manual provides engineers with standard bridge design policies and practices. The SCDOT Bridge Design Manual was prepared based on the 3rd Edition of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, current through the 2005 Interims.Manual by Chapter Complete Manual
Bridge Design Memorandums are issued to supplement or revise the requirements of the Manual. These memorandums will supersede the contents of the Manual. Memorandums dated prior to April 2006 will not apply to projects that are being designed using the criteria of the Manual.
