SC Department of Transportation Seeks Public Comment On Proposed Federal-Aid Funding Plan for Fiscal Year 2009
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking comments from the public on a proposed Federal-Aid funding plan for Fiscal Year 2009, which begins on October 1, 2008. This funding plan is based on an estimated allocation of $632 million.

SmartRide Commuter Service to Offer Fare-Free Rides on Ozone Action Days
The SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT), in partnership with the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC), the South Carolina Energy Office (SCEO), the Newberry Council on Aging, the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority and the Santee-Wateree Regional Transit Authority is offering free fares on the SmartRide commuter services, between July 7 and September 30, 2008, on days forecasted by SCDHEC to be Ground-Level Ozone Action Days.

Intersection in Rock Hill to Change to Four-Way Stop on July 8
The current two-way stop intersection of S-46-331 (Longview Road) and Spring View Court (City Street) in the City of Rock Hill in York County will be changed to a four-way stop on Tuesday, July 8. Advanced notice signs are in place.
