From SCDOT.org Public Meetings The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Tuesday, Oct. 27, on Edisto Island concerning the proposed bridge replacements along SC Highway 174 over Sand Creek, Russell Creek and Store Creek.
The meeting will be between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Jane Edwards Community School Cafeteria, 1960 Jane Edwards Road, Edisto Island.
The meeting will have a drop-in type format. Project displays will be available for viewing and SCDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project. A formal presentation will not be given during this information meeting.
The meeting is intended to provide information concerning the proposed bridge replacements at SC 174 over Sand Creek, SC 174 over Russell Creek, and SC 174 over Store Creek, and to solicit comments from area residents, business owners and the traveling public. Another purpose of the meeting is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.
