25-Cent Cross Island Parkway Toll Increase Effective After Midnight Sunday, March 30

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) reminds motorists that the 25-cent toll increase on the Cross Island Parkway on Hilton Head Island goes into effect after midnight Sunday.

SCDOT maintenance crews will be changing signs through Friday informing motorists of the new rates.

It is the first increase since toll collections began on the parkway in 1998. The increase is needed to meet the costs of construction, operation, and maintenance.

The Cross Island Parkway cash, PALPASS, and additional axle toll rates will be increased by 25 cents. The new tolls will be:

MAIN LINE PLAZA

Cash $1.25
PALPASS $0.75

RAMP

Cash $1.00
PALPASS $0.50
