The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has completed several enhancements to the agency’s websites in recent months. 

All consultant selections are now posted for public review.  The posted selections represent all active consultant contracts.  The page may be accessed from the link http://www.scdot.org/doing/consultantselections.shtml or by selecting “Doing Business with SCDOT” from the home page, www.scdot.org. 

The Active Projects page allows the public to view details on projects in the design, development or construction phases.  Users can search by County, Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), or Councils of Government (COG).  More projects are included in the database, data is more detailed, and project information is easily printed.  The page may be accessed from the link http://dbw.scdot.org/activeprojects/Default.aspx or by selecting “Inside SCDOT” from the home page.

The agency is seeking comments from the public in anticipation of a second appropriation of federal transportation stimulus funding under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and also on additional stimulus funded resurfacing projects in Congressional District Five.  Under the ARRA link, http://www.scdot.org/inside/ARRA.shtml, on the agency’s home page, the public may review the project information and submit comments. 

SCDOT Director of Administration Michael Covington said, “We are committed to customer service, and we hope the public finds what it is looking for on our web sites.  We are interested in getting input from the public.”
