Road Closure Starts Monday

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Maintenance Division plans to repair the culvert over Caney Fork Creek on S-12-16 (Ashford Ferry Road), near the City of Chester in Chester County.

In order to minimize the impact to property owners in the area, the road will be closed during this repair.  The road will be closed on Monday, September 14, 2009.  The estimated date of completion is October 12, 2009.

The detour will use S-12-171 (Mountain Lakes Road), SC 72 (West End Road) and US 321/SC 9 (J. A. Cochran Bypass).

For more information, the public may contact SCDOT District Maintenance Engineer Todd Cook at (803) 377-4155.
