The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Thursday, Sept. 25, concerning preliminary alignments for the widening and new location section of the proposed Sheep Farm Road project in Oconee County.
The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Papineau Hall, 170 Bountyland Road in Seneca. The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing. A formal presentation will not be given during this time.
The meeting is intended to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually, with representatives of SCDOT, preliminary alignments for the widening and new location section of the proposed Sheep Farm Road project. The proposed improvements consist of widening the existing Sheep Farm Road from two lanes to four lanes, and extending Sheep Farm Road from Bountyland Road to SC 28. Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization, on historic or cultural resources in the area.
For more information, the public may contact Rob Perry, SCDOT Program Manager, (803) 737-1440.
