Due to major lane closures scheduled on the Downtown Connector in Atlanta during Labor Day weekend, the Georgia DOT is encouraging all football fans to take MARTA rapid transit system to the Alabama vs. Clemson Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome and pre-game festivities at Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday, August 30th

For only $1.75 each way, customers can take the East/West rail line to the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station (W1) and walk directly into the Georgia Dome and to Centennial Olympic Park.  Customers taking the North/South rail line will need to transfer to the West line at Five Points rail station and travel one stop to the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station.

Customers can purchase round-trip fare, daily passes or multi-day visitor passes from any of MARTA's 38 train stations.

Train service runs from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m.  Parking for less than 24 hours is free at all MARTA parking facilities, and MARTA has over 25,000 free daily parking spaces available.

Customers staying at hotels throughout Atlanta can visit www.itsmarta.com to locate the rail station that is closest to their hotel.

Customers driving into Atlanta on game day are encouraged to park at the following MARTA rail stations:

From South Carolina

From 1-20 West (from South Carolina): Take Exit #67B (I-285 North), and then take Exit #42 directly into the Indian Creek Station.

From I-85 South (from South Carolina):  Take Exit 95 (I-285 West), then immediately exit at Exit 32 (Buford Highway).  After exiting, turn left onto Buford Highway and continue to the third light and turn right on Park Avenue into the Doraville Station.

To schedule your trip and access a list of MARTA’s daily parking lots, call MARTA's Customer Information Line at 404-848-5000 or visit www.itsmarta.com.
